Research Overview: 

We study the structure and function of bacterial pathogenesis using a multidisciplinary approach that includes structural biology, biophysics and bacterial genetics. Our goal is to understand and manipulate virulence systems in bacteria so as to find and exploit vulnerabilities. Ultimately, we hope to contribute to the discovery of more effective, safer, and cheaper treatments for infectious diseases.
