BMS Listening Box: For providing anonymous feedback for BMS program leadership 

BMS Student Intranet: Provides information current students with information pertaining to BMS curriculum, new student onboarding, program requirements, fellowship & grants, advising & counseling, financial information, health care and insurance, and student oversight policies

UCSF First Generation Support Services: Supports students whose parents/caregivers did not graduate from a four-year college by providing scholarship and networking opportunities

UCSF's Graduate Division DEI Initiatives: Cultivate justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars at UCSF

Student Disability ServicesUCSF is committed to ensuring access to graduate education for all students. Early communication with the relevant administrators is critical to a successful partnership in arranging accommodations. We encourage students with disabilities to (first) disclose to the Office of Student Disability Services. SDS is the appropriate and confidential office for seeking accommodations, and will coordinate communications and procedures with you and the graduate faculty and programs. Childcare Support (SF-based families)Children’s Council and our partners offer a variety of financial assistance programs that may partially or completely cover the costs of care for children from birth until the age of 13* (for state funded programs only).

Post-Bacc

Post-baccalaureate Research Opportunity to Promote Equity in Learning (PROPEL): 1-2 year paid Post-bacc position aimed at providing research opportunities to disadvantaged backgrounds in science. 

College Students

Summer Research Training Program (SRTP): UCSF Outreach program focused on providing basic science internship opportunities to undergraduate students from historically marginalized backgrounds. 

K-12 Students

Science & Health Education Program (SEP): UCSF Outreach program focused on exposing K-12 students in San Francisco to STEM based careers. 

CURE Summer Internship: Paid summer internship program focused on exposing high school juniors from underrepresented backgrounds to various types of research.

Neuroscape: Neurology-based summer research opportunity for students attending SFUSD high schools 

ImmunoExplore: Week-long Summer program focused on introducing high school students to immunology.  

Cardiac Camp: Week-long cardiac-focused summer program which aims to provide underrepresented minorities in medicine about the basic anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, heart disease, and prevention in early and late life, and be exposed to live cardiac testing modalities. 

Brain Camp: Week-long brain-focused summer program which aims to provide high school students from underrepresented minorities in medicine to fields of neurology, neurosurgery, pathology, and more.
