Research Overview:
Our research focuses on understanding these cellular engineering challenges and applying this knowledge to develop improved tools and processes that enhance the safety and effectiveness of cellular products. We apply these technologies to develop better treatments for a wide variety of indications, including inherited immune disorders, infectious diseases, and cancer. These efforts directly feed into our pre-clinical development and GMP manufacturing pipeline to make next-generation therapies rapidly available for our patients.
Primary Thematic Area:
Human Genetics
Secondary Thematic Area:
Immunology
Research Summary:
The Shy Lab employs cutting-edge genome and epigenome engineering techniques to address the current limitations in cell therapy development, manufacture, and delivery.
