Research Summary
We develop new approaches to decipher communication between the brain and immune system. We study what these messages mean, how they’re regulated, and how they impact brain health.

Our lab studies the molecular logic of crosstalk between the brain and body. We develop new approaches to decode the meaning, mechanisms, and therapeutic relevance of unexpected protein and immune cell communication across brain barriers. By deciphering the general principles by which the periphery communicates with the brain, we will understand and rationally modulate key intercellular pathways to confer greater resilience against brain aging and neurodegeneration.
